On 28th,January 2026 Tire steel cord manufacturer Bekaert announces that it teamed up with Bridgestone.
Bekaert bought Bridgestone’s tire reinforcement material businesses in China and Thailand.
The total value of this transaction is 80 million euros. The deal includes the Bridgestone Shenyang Tire Steel Cord Factory as well as the Tire Steel Cord Factory in Thailand.
At the same time，they’ve signed a long-term supply deal, to strengthen their strategic partnerships ties.
As part of its global strategy, Bridgestone tire aims to enhance its medium to long-term competitiveness through work with partners.
Bridgestone is a japan tire manufacturer set up in 1930.Because of it’s good quality and after-sales service,Bridgestone brand tires sell very well globally,the main tire series are including passenger tires,motorcycle tires,commercial tires,aircraft tires,off the road tires.
Bekaert entered the Chinese market as early as the early 1990s.It is a famous tire raw material manufacturer and main products are tire steel cord and tire bead wire.It’s tire reinforce materials have high reputation in automotive industry.
In recent years, Bekaert has maintained steady growth in China, with its steel cord business achieving remarkable progress. It has developed over a dozen factories in China and set up an Asian R&D center as well as a global engineering technology center.
